Move-In Day Recycling Sets New Record
With the help of Housing and Facilities Services staff members, students recycled more than 13,000 pounds of cardboard on Saturday, August 16, Freshman Move-In Day.
That represents an increase in recycling rates of more than 60 percent compared to last year’s 8,000 pounds.
The new record equals the amount of cardboard typically recycled during two weeks on campus.
