KNOXVILLE — Twenty-one new members have joined the University of Tennessee Chancellor’s Associates.

Associates are professional and community leaders who help build public understanding and support of UT Knoxville. The group was established in 1972.

Eddie Mannis, president and CEO of Prestige Cleaners, is 2008-2009 chair of the 2008-09 Chancellor’s Associates.

New associates are:

• Ellen Adcock, board commissioner, Knoxville Community Development Corp.;
• Susan Arp, communications, an independent consultant affiliated with SRW & Associates;
• Jim Atchley, executive vice president, First Tennessee Bank;
• Mili Bass, D.V.M./owner/manager, Dream Katcher Lodge;
• Brent Cantrell, executive director, Jubilee Community Arts;
• Arnold Cohen, attorney, Leibowitz & Cohen;
• Ruth Elliott, professor/associate dean of nursing, Tennessee Wesleyan College;
• Bill Garibay, president, Environmental, Safety & Health Inc.;
• Kim Greene, chief financial officer and executive vice president of financial services, Tennessee Valley Authority;
• Brian Hartsell, supervisor of student transfers, Knox County Schools;
• Jerry Hodges, executive director, Project GRAD Knoxville;
• Booth Kammann, executive vice president, Holrob Commercial Realty LLC;
• Chris Powell, executive vice president, human resources, Scripps Networks;
• Patricia Robledo, owner, Robledo Translations LLC;
• Scott Schimmel, owner, Bliss Home;
• Michael Strickland, CEO, Bandit Lites;
• Tom Taylor, president, Commercial Cutting Equipment Inc.;
• Jo Terry, community volunteer;
