Jim McCarter, a senior computer support specialist in Facility Services, has a reputation for always going the extra mile and being naturally kind and helpful.

A familiar figure all over campus, he can be seen working on equipment from classrooms to Neyland Stadium.

Based on his outstanding courtesy and customer service, Jim has received the September Send Roses Award from UT’s Positive Recognition Committee.

Jim came to Technical Services at UT Knoxville nearly 14 years ago. He transferred to Facilities Services in 1997.
