Petersen Visits Knoxville Campus
University of Tennessee president John Petersen visited the Knoxville campus Tuesday, as part of his annual statewide tour of UT’s campuses and units.
Speaking with a group of employees outside the Facilities Services building, Petersen was asked about looming state-mandated budget cuts for higher education, increasing energy efficiency on campus, and the search for a new UT Knoxville chancellor.
Petersen and interim Knoxville chancellor Jan Simek also appeared at an open-forum discussion session at the University Center auditorium. Click here to view archived video of Petersen’s remarks.
