Cafe Offers Hawaiian, Greek, Indian and European Cuisine

KNOXVILLE — The Ready for the World Café at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will feature a taste of the Hawaiian Islands, the Greek Islands, India and Europe Oct. 27-30.

The menu, designed by students Laura Edmunds and Qiana Powell, will include macadamia-encrusted tilapia with white chocolate beurre sauce, Tandoori chicken, Greek salad, Italian pot roast, potatoes with bacon and Asiago cheese and Vichy carrots.

The café is an international buffet that is operated by students in the Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism 445 course. Most weeks, it is open from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the Hermitage Room on the third floor of the University Center.

Diners pay $10 for the all-you-can-eat buffet or $8.50 for a plate of food to carry out.
