KNOXVILLE — The University of Tennessee Board of Trustees Foundations Study Committee will meet for the first time on Thursday, Nov. 6, on the Knoxville campus.

The meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the UT Visitors Center on the corner of Neyland Drive and Kingston Pike.

The committee was formed as a joint effort between the UT Foundation and Board of Trustees to study the structures of foundations at peer and aspirational institutions. This educational and fact-finding goal will help to shape the UT Foundation’s future fundraising efforts.

UTF’s mission is to support the university’s educational, research and public service initiatives by seeking, receiving and administering private dollars. A nonprofit corporation, the foundation helps meet the needs of the university by augmenting state and institutional funds.
