Social Work students collect 'Coats for the Cold'

Student organizations in the College of Social Work will once again collect coats for the Knox Area Rescue Ministries’ (KARM) Coats for the Cold drive. There is always a great need for children’s coats and large size coats. Also needed are trendy coats for youth and teens.

Prestige Cleaners will clean the garments at no charge and then KARM will give the coats away, around the first of December, to anyone in need. Any remaining garments are then taken to various schools where children can choose coats for themselves and their parents or guardians.

Friday, Nov. 14, is the deadline to donate coats for the drive.

Please contact Karla Edwards at 974-3176 or kedwards@utk.edu with any questions or requests to have coats picked up.
