Printmaking Artist Rapoport to Lecture Jan. 22
The School of Art is hosting Visiting Artist in Printmaking, Victoria Goro-Rapoport, Jan. 21 – 22, with a public lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, in 109 Art + Architecture Building.
Rapoport was born in Russia and came to printmaking after studies in theatrical scene design. She is on the faculty at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She currently has an exhibition of her prints in the Reading Room on level one of the Art + Architecture Building and will also work on an edition in the UT Knoxville Print Workshop during her visit.
Her exhibition and visit is sponsored by the School of Art’s Visiting Artists, Scholars and Designers Committee, and the Ready for the World International and Intercultural Initiative.
