Baker Center Hosts Civic Engagement @ UT
The Howard H. Baker, Jr. Center for Public Policy will host Civic Engagement @ UT, 9 a.m. to noon tomorrow in the Center’s Toyota Auditorium. Open to facutly, staff, students and the community, the event will serve to define, discuss and celebrate civic engagement at UT.
Many UT faculty, staff and students are already engaged in the community. Whether they are working in the schools or with non-profit agencies, members of the UT family are working together with the community to address issues and bring about social change. And faculty and students are receiving much in return.
Civic Engagement @ UT will feature a lineup of deans, faculty, staff, students and community groups speaking about their projects and answering questions from the audience. For the complete agenda visit the Web site.
