Free Smoking Cessation Webinars This Month

Starting in January, UT employees and their spouses who smoke will be charged an additional $50 each per month through the state’s health insurance provider. This surcharge is designed to cover the additional health costs of smokers.

Through the Health Insurance Tobacco Surcharge and Quit Incentive, you can take advantage of a free Webinar program to help you get a fresh start on life.

This program is being made available to you and eligible spouses through the State of Tennessee Employee Assistance Program (EAP), provided by Magellan Health Services.

The one-hour sessions will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 15; Tuesday, May 19; and Tuesday, May 26.

For more information or to register for a Webinar, download the brochure (pdf).

For more information on employee insurance benefits, call Human Resources at 974-5151.
