Will You Be a Friend of Switchie?

The University of Tennessee is more than halfway to the “Switch Your Thinking” campaign goal of reducing energy use on campus by 10 percent this fiscal year.

To help the campus reach this milestone, Make Orange Green and the Committee on the Campus Environment have created an energy conservation program for faculty and staff called “Friends of Switchie.”

Friends of Switchie (FOS) volunteer to shut off department lights and electronics (e.g. copier machines, faxes, window AC units) at the end of each day. Participating departments will receive an FOS sticker to display with pride from their front offices!

For more information or to sign up for the Friends of Switchie program, e-mail switchie@utk.edu or visit the Switch Your Thinking Web site, http://www.utk.edu/features/switch/.
