Chancellor Cheek Announces Selection of Martin as New Provost
“I’m pleased to announce the selection of Dr. Susan Martin as provost and senior vice chancellor for academic affairs for the Knoxville campus,” says UT Knoxville Chancellor Jimmy G. Cheek. “As you may know, Susan has served as an educator, researcher and administrator at UT Knoxville for 28 years, culminating with her role as interim provost since August 2008.
“Susan has done an outstanding job as UT Knoxville’s chief academic officer, and I’m confident she will continue to lead the faculty in our efforts to enhance the quality of our programs and to prepare our students for the future. Please join me in congratulating her.
“I also want to thank the chair of the search committee, UT College of Law Dean Doug Blaze, for the work he and the committee members put into this search process.”
