Pre-order Your Computer at UT Bookstore by Aug. 4 to Enjoy Sales Tax Holiday
The state of Tennessee’s sales tax holiday is being held this year from Friday, Aug. 7, through Sunday, Aug. 9. During that time, computers costing less than $1,500 will be exempt from sales tax.
The UT Bookstore Technology Center (formerly UT Computer Store) in the University Center is offering a special service allowing students, faculty and staff to pre-order computers at educational discounts and without sales tax. Just visit the UC and reserve your computer by Tuesday, Aug. 4, and the orders will be processed on Friday, Aug. 7. You can take delivery as soon as Monday, Aug. 10.
Full-time faculty and staff can use the interest-free payroll deduction for their purchase. The last day to pre-order on the Knoxville campus is Tuesday, Aug. 4.
