UT Alert The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, is scheduled to conduct a test of its UT ALERT system today, July 9. The test is tentatively scheduled to occur at approximately 2 p.m.

The UT ALERT system allows students, faculty and staff to “opt in” to be notified via text message in the event of an emergency or campus closure. The message can also be sent to a designated e-mail address, PDA or pager.

Individuals who have signed up to receive UT ALERTs should receive a text message and/or e-mail message within a few minutes after the system is activated. To report a problem after the test is conducted, please go to http://www.utk.edu/utalert/problems/.
