UT Expert: Takeshi Egami
Takeshi Egami
Distinguished Professor
Materials Science and Engineering/Physics and Astronomy
Expertise:
Takeshi Egami pioneered the development of new techniques to determine the atomic structure and motion of the atoms in solids, using both neutron and X-ray scattering. He is an expert on structure-property relationships in materials, atomistic theory and modeling of solids and liquids, magnetism, ferroelectricity, superconductivity, computer simulations and atomic structural analysis. He is also a Distinguished Scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
