I'm Bill Harb. I'm a 1992 graduate of UT Knoxville and I received a B.A. in political science.
My favorite professor while I was in Knoxville was Dr. Otis Stephens.
He convinced a pre-med major of the benefits of political science and he brought
the discipline alive and I really appreciate everything he did.
I had several constitutional law classes with Dr. Stephens while I was in Knoxville and
our discussions were always interesting and lively and he brought a lot to the table
in multiple cases which I initially thought were boring and uninteresting.
I always enjoyed reading and his text book of constitutional law really helped that
and help me see multiple sides of the issue. What goes for saying more than anything,
is that even as a practicing colorectal surgeon today in Nashville I still enjoy reading books about constitutional
law, keeping up with what's going on with the Supreme Court and what justices are saying what.
I'd just like to say thanks to Dr. Otis Stephens for everything you did for me,
for my degree and for my life. I appreciate you very much.
