We can believe that we won. We have been practicing for so the long. We have been working on howstheliving.com for a while now.
And we have been looking forward to the mtvU competition so we are pretty excited about winning. We expected it and we are excited to move forward from here.
We have several ways that we have mapped out to spend the $25,000 dollars that we won from the MTV's Movers and Changer's competition.
Some of that is reinventing our website. We want to make it more interactive for our users, as well as provide more incentives for our students such as e-coupons
or gift cards discounts to go on and rate their housing on our site.
We learned a lot when we were up there in New York competing in the competition. We learned about our marketing plan.
We revamped our marketing plan, networked with professionals,
pinpointed the true need of howstheliving.com and sculpting our strategy around that need.
Presenting our idea to the panel of experts at the Movers and Changers competition was unreal.
To find individuals who are leaders in the industry to have to pitch in front of them was kind of intimidating at first
but after starting our pitch getting into it, we were confident in moving forward. So it was less nerve wracking.
Being a full time student and a full time entrepreneur is a task. It's a tough at times.
The thing is, it's so fun. We don't look at it as work. We look at as having fun while we are going to school.
