At the Clarence Brown Theatre, on the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, campus,
eight shows were produced this year closing out the season with the production of "Man of La Mancha."

Well it's set in the time of the Spanish Inquisition. So, roughly, the late 1500s.
There's a lot that goes on behind the scenes. There are months actually of preparation, which are really just working with the
designers on the costume design, set design, talking about the lighting design, all of those elements.
So that when you actually arrive and begin rehearsals, most of those decisions have been made and are ready to go.
Paul and a team of professional designers have been collaborating over the past five months
translating drawings and three-D models to real life. From building the set, to constructing the costumes
to making the props, all departments have a significant impact in creating the world of Man of La Mancha.
It's really neat to be able to work with someone who does this for a living. To be able to work with professionals who
work and go elsewhere and to have these contacts for you to be able to use sometime if this is something that you want to make
as your career. That's really a great thing.

It's a beautiful story and if you're not crying at the end, I don't know what's wrong. You should bring
at least a full tissue box, you know, regular size. You don't need one of the little pocket ones, not for this.
It's a story that everybody needs to see and I think that most people aren't familiar with the story of Don Quixote
and those that are will enjoy seeing it again. (singing)
It's just a beautiful story that gets told like nothing else I've seen. So, come out and enjoy.
