Welcome to the Ready for the World Café. For those who have been here before thank you. I know you enjoyed a great meal.
But, I bet you didn’t know this is actually a class. This is ATT 445. It is hospitability, Retail and Tourism Management and students are in the class to learn about what it takes to run a restaurant.
On any given semester I have between six to sixteen students at a tent. We write for ten weeks during that semester and the students are responsible for operating as a GM for one week out of those ten weeks.
Then they take on the tasks of designing their menu and figuring out the cost as well as marketing to the clients, and that’s you. Aramark downstairs prepares the food for them but the students are the managers.
And they’re the ones that make sure the restaurant runs well. We’ve enjoyed two and a half years of success and we really look forward to seeing you here as well. We’re open from 11:30 to 1:30 Monday through Thursday. We will see you then.
