Recyclympics is a fun event. We really just want people to come out, enjoy the beautiful day and learn a bit about recycling in the process.
It's fun. It's easy. It saves resources.
That fits into the overall plan of being climate neutral because everyone contributes.
What that really means is we produce no net carbon dioxide.
The first one is Recycling free throw.
The second is tumbling tower.
The third is phone book shot put.
The fourth is the hammer throw.
The fifth is the recycling obstacle course.
The sixth is the Kiffin Javelin.
The recycling serving now.
And the airplane toss.
I thought we were hitting Kiffin's bobble head. I found out we are launching it.
which is disappointing but works anyway.
We are basically taking kiffin bobble heads and throwing them as far down the field as we can.
Everyone kind of wondered what to do with those old bobble heads, come throw them on the field.
We are starting the marking at 75 feet because
we think people have aggression to go the distance.
On campus we try to make recycling as easy as possible.
Instead of putting things in the trash bin just put them in the recycle bin.
Recycling is important because all of us generate waste.
And recycling is a way that we can take that waste and do something with it.
We can save resources, save money and keep things out of the landfill.
I just decided it was for a good cause and it's beautiful. I enjoyed it.
The goal we all want to so is, people having a good time competing in events that might not have thought of.
Instead of putting this in a bin and never seeing it again as it goes off to the recycling center
we can have a lot of fun with recycling as well.
