Died December 18, 2008 in Knoxville, TN.

Shook was a former school teacher for Knoxville City Schools, serving the last 17 years at Rocky Hill Elementary School. She was a member of the Tennessee Constitutional Convention in 1958; State Representative from Knox County from 1960-1964; founder of Rocky Hill Girls Softball League; and an avid sports fan, especially Lady Vol basketball. She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.
