On Sunday, March 1, just before the Lady Vols basketball game versus Vanderbilt, a group of UT alumni and friends enjoyed hearing Debby Schriver speak about her recent book, In the Footsteps of Champions, which chronicles the history of the Lady Vols Athletic Department. Schriver’s book was just released in 2008; all proceeds from the sale of the book benefit the Lady Vols Athletic Department.

Schriver (’72, ’78) was joined by a cast of current and former Lady Vol athletes: Susan Thornton (’80 – track and field), Jasmin Jones Keller (’91 – track and field), and U.S. Olympic medalist Christine Magnuson (’09 – swimming). Schriver spoke about her experience writing the book and each of the Lady Vols shared stories about her UT experience. Fans in attendance also had the opportunity to collect autographs from the speakers.
