The Chancellor’s Associates, established in 1972, is a group of Knoxville-area community leaders from a variety of walks of life. Some are UT alumni, but a good number are not. This group exists to strengthen the tie between the university and the Knoxville community at large. There are currently 63 members of the Chancellor’s Associates, each serving a three-year term of office.

Each month during the academic year, the Associates meet for breakfast to hear about some facet of the university. Featured at the meeting are top-notch faculty, students, and administrators. In a given year, Associates members are exposed to a variety of these people and can share a positive message about the university within their other communities and constituencies.

This year’s chair is Bruce Bosse, president of Merit Construction. The chair-elect is Rhonda Rice, executive vice president of the Knoxville Chamber.  Both are pictured to the right.
