Died September 27, 2009, in Blacksburg, VA. Betty graduated from the University of Tennessee and moved to Virginia to teach home economics at Radford University. She retired from teaching in 1967 to be a full-time mother and homemaker. Betty received her bachelor’s degree (1962) and her master’s degree (1963) from the College of Home Economics.
