Fall Lawn and Garden Program

A group of alumni and friends came to the Ag Campus on Saturday, Sept. 19, for the fall session of Lawn and Turf Care and Gardening 101. This was a follow-up program to the popular sessions offered in the spring; this session focused specifically on tips related to this time of year. Dr. Jim Brosnan, Dr. Tom Samples, and Beth Babbit delivered the presentations. PowerPoint slides from their presentations are now available through Slideshare. Here’s an example:

Sustainable Building

UT College of Architecture alumnus Ryan Taylor visited campus on Saturday, Sept. 26, to offer a presentation on sustainable building. Alumni and friends learned about the subject and took advantage of the opportunity to ask a host of questions related to sustainable building. Taylor is a registered architect and founder of taylor28design LLC in Atlanta. He has taught a number of continuing education programs related to architecture through a variety of community forums.
