John D. “Dick” Jordan (1948)

Dick was a graduate of the University of Tennessee, receiving his bachelor’s degree from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. While a student at UT, he played football in the 1943 Sugar Bowl. He then served in WWII as a bomber pilot in the 391st Bombardment Group. Dick returned to UT after the war to finish his education and played in the 1947 Orange Bowl. He was called back into service during the Korean War and was in a MASH unit. After discharge from the Army, he worked 25 years for Ralston Purina as a District Manager.
