UT Homecoming 2007

November 2-3, 2007: Smokey's Bayou Bash

I t'll be Homecoming time in Tennessee Nov. 2–3! Plan to be there for Smokey’s Bayou Bash, a weekend filled with fun and good times. Join other alumni as Smokey cooks up a pot of ragin’ Cajun chili peppers—and make plans now to be in Neyland Stadium as the Tennessee Volunteers take on Louisiana Lafayette.

Our centerpiece event, “Celebrating Our Heroes: Past and Present,” will honor all military alumni. Other highlights include our annual Homecoming parade and Party in the Park. Always an alumni favorite, the Party in the Park kicks off four hours before the football game. This is a kid-friendly environment with live entertainment, good food, and plenty of fun for all. Our featured event at the Party in the Park will be the academic showcase. The exhibit features academic departments sharing information and experiments for everyone.

“Celebrating the Legacy and Continuing the Vision” is the theme of the 30th anniversary of the Love United Gospel Choir. All former LUGC members are invited back to campus to participate in this special celebration.

Other Homecoming events, hosted by various colleges and organizations, also will be held throughout the weekend.

Remember, if you purchase a ticket to an alumni Homecoming event, you’re eligible to purchase tickets for the Louisiana Lafayette game.
