Michael S. Hughes, of Charlotte, NC, died December 1, 2011. Michael graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering and was employed as a professional licensed civil engineer.

Jeffrey D. Field, of Knoxville, died November 24, 2011. Jeff was an All-American javelin thrower for the University of Tennessee Track Team and graduated from UT with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. He taught technology in the Knox County School District.

Rebecca Birdwell, of Knoxville, died December 1, 2011. She was retired from the University of Tennessee.

Ray Barton, of Seneca, SC, died November 11, 2011. Ray served in the U.S. Air Force for two years and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration. His professional career was in the financial industry, from which he retired in 1988.

Jerry A. Bush, of Knoxville, died November 27, 2011. Jerry was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree (1971) and a master’s degree (1976) both from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. He retired from the Knoxville City and Knox County Schools with more than 30 years of service.

Waddell Cummings, Sr., of Memphis, died November 28, 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee A&I State University and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Marion Lewis Picklesimer, of Munford, AL, died November 20, 2011. After service in WWII, he earned a master’s degree (1951) and a doctor’s degree (1954) from the University of Tennessee, College of Engineering. Patricia A. Woliver, of Lynn Haven, FL, died November 26, 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration and was employed by Orlando Steel as a treasurer and financial controller.

Kim A. Woliver, of Lynn Haven, FL, died November 26, 2011. Kim was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree (1983) and a master’s degree (1984) both from the College of Engineering and later earned a Professional Engineering Certificate. He was Associate Vice President of Atkins Global.

Steven G. Wold, of Port Orange, FL, died November 5, 2011. Steve was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and was part of the UT football team from 1966-1970.
