Helen Creech Upshaw, of Farragut, TN, died September 24, 2011. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration. She worked as a statistician at UT and taught at South High School.

Wilma Rogers Kneeland, of Apopka, FL, died September 18, 2011. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Arts and Sciences. Wilma was one of UT’s first female cheerleaders and was chosen Miss University of Tennessee in 1940.

Virgil Gibson Kennedy, Jr., of Knoxville, died September 21, 2011. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Engineering and from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
