Margaret “Maggie” Anne Cooper, of Placentia, CA, died April 28, 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She taught at Valencia High School, Orange County Juvenile Hall and Fullerton College, establishing student scholarships for women who wanted to study math and science.

Gordon A. Noe “Sammy”, of Alexandria, VA, died May 14, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration and was an economist with the U.S. Department of Justice for 47 years before retiring.

Bettye Polk Moneyhun, of Bristol, TN, died May 14, 2011. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, she earned a bachelor’s degree from the College of Home Economics. Upon graduation, she taught at the Tennessee School for the Deaf in Knoxville. Bettye was also the owner of Encore, an antique and decorating workshop.
