Jerry A. Bush, of Knoxville, died November 27, 2011. Jerry was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree (1971) and a master’s degree (1976) both from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. He retired from the Knoxville City and Knox County Schools with more than 30 years of service.

Ivan J. Martin, of Morristown, TN, died January 20, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Cloy Belle Lee, of San Antonio, TX, died May 18, 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Ronald Lamar Notari, of Duncanville, TX, died June 29, 2011. Following his service in the U.S. Navy, Ronald graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Architecture and Design.

Pennell Churchman Painter, III, of Knoxville, died July 26, 2011. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree (1967) and a doctor’s degree (1976) both from the College of Arts and Sciences.

Lisle “Spunky” Ewing Newlon, of Knoxville, died June 4, 2011. He earned a bachelor’s degree (1974) and a master’s degree (1976) from the University of Tennessee, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Lisle was owner/photographer of Newlon Studio, specializing in wedding photography over the past 40 years.

Abigail H. Brown, of Oliver Springs, TN, died February 19, 2011. She was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration and a master’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Eugene Edward Childs, Sr., of Nashville, died April 6, 2011. Gene served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning an honorable discharge with the rank of sergeant. James Michael Warchol, of Knoxville, died March 25, 2011. He was a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a master’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Mr. Warchol worked in the special education field for 40 years and was the Executive Director of Open Arms Care.

Angelynne “Angie” Dianne Armstrong, of Henderson, NV, died February 19, 2011. She received a bachelor’s degree from Central State University and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.
