Angela Allen Fisher, of Oak Ridge, TN, died September 19, 2011. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree (1978) and a master’s degree (2001) from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences.

Patricia Ann Horner, of Knoxville, died September 18, 2010. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration.

A son, Colin Anthony Stokes, born June 9, 2010, to Dax Stokes ‘00, and Amy Ryan Stokes ‘01, Denton, TX.

Heather C. Mason, of Denver, CO, died February 12, 2010. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, College of Communications and Information.

A daughter, Ella Katherine Beavers, born January 9, 2010, to Lauren Lee Beavers ‘01, ‘05 and C. Brent Beavers ‘98, Memphis, TN.

Taunisha Joycine “Tani” Bates, of Lawrenceville, GA, died November 4, 2009. Andrew K. Stern (2001) died in Iraq in 2004, possibly the first UT graduate to give his life in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was a first lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was buried with honors at Arlington National Cemetery.

Tamika Catchings (2001) of the Women’s National Basketball Association’s Indiana Fever, was the 2002 WNBA rookie of the year. She was a four-time All-America as a Lady Vol. She won a gold medal in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.

Heath Shuler (2001) is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from North Carolina. He is a former quarterback for the Tennessee Volunteers.
