Barry Wayne McKinnon, of New Tazewell, TN, died January 7, 2011. Barry graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Business Administration and where he played basketball and captained the golf team. He retired from McMurray Daly Insurance Agency.

Landon Darty, of Dothan, AL, died September 12, 2010. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s degree from the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences and played football while at the university. In the 2008 Summer Olympics, Tennessee Volunteers weren’t just orange. They were also gold and silver. Four current students and 12 former students participated in the games. Collectively, they brought home three gold and three silver medals.
