Chris Woodruff was an All-America tennis player at UT in 1992 and 1993. On the ATP tour, he achieved a career-high singles ranking of No. 12 in the world in February 2000. He retired from the tour in 2002 and is currently the associate head tennis coach at UT.

Lindsey Nelson (1941) was announcer for UT football, sports director and announcer for NBC, and announcer for the New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants. He is a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. UT’s baseball stadium in Knoxville is named for him.
