As their undergraduate careers drew to an end, three UT Knoxville students knew they wanted to give back in some way. They decided to join Teach For America, an organization that recruits top college graduates to expand opportunity for children in low-income areas.

Summer events for recent grads are in full swing, including community service and trivia events in Knoxville and a comedy event in Atlanta.

More than 240 young alumni came back to campus for the annual spring Young Alumni Weekend—the most attendees in the program’s history. Proceeds from the event went to the Young Alumni Scholarship.

Sarah Keeton Campbell (A&S, ’04) has been selected to serve as a clerk for Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito. Campbell will clerk for Alito for one court term, starting in July.

More than 300 University of Tennessee students, alumni, administrators, and guests attended the campus’s inaugural ceremony on November 9 to present official UT rings to students and alumni.

UT’s Young Alumni program is expanding its presence on Facebook. If you haven’t already done so, be sure to “like” the Facebook fan page in your area. It’s a great way to stay informed of the upcoming young alumni events in your area.
